Q: How to process a credit/credit card payment through a third part not paypal.?
I have a merchant account as i have run a business for several years. I opened a new business and have applied for a new merchant account and was refused as the business is classed as high risk it is the same as what i currently do i am spliting the business in two so i have a north and a south. I run the south and my collegue runs the north. My provider cardent after some debate said they would give me a merchant account if i put £20K as a holding deposit. i have never had a customer dispute in all the years i have ran my merchant account and turn over £250K a year. I do not have the money obvisouly to sit in there bank account.
Does anybody know a any company were you can process the payments they hold the money for however many days/month then pass to you.
Customer pay direct over the telephone so i do not think they would be very happy if i then went and processed there card via paypal.
A: Have you tried Netbanx? They’re UK based and you can talk to them about any problems you have. We were changing from Paypal to them before we changed the focus of the business that we needed the facility for and found them very helpful.
Q: My application for Amex Blue Credit Card was declined with 745+ credit score..any idea?
Hi. I’m a 24 year old young professional with an above 745 credit score (from experian) and annual income of $63k. I have three other bank credit cards with a credit line of $5k each card and 1 store credit card and 1 gas credit card. I know I might have too many credit cards for my age but I wanted an Amex CC to be the last one until Iater on. I’ve been paying balance for all my CCs on time in full, sometimes even overpaid.. And I have Savings and Checking Accts with amounts well exceed my CC balance.
I assume the reason why I got declined might be because I use my CCs too much, I barely use my Debit Cards and basically I use $6k off my $15k combined credit line each month..
Amex provided me with a letter why they’re declining my application. Please see below……………..

Your American Express Acquisition Risk Score is too high (See below)
Your application was processed using our American Express Proprietary Acquisition Risk Scoring System which assigns a numerical value to the various items of information we consider in evaluating an application. Your application’s total score exceeded our threshold for approval at this time. Listed below are the reasons that you did not score well compared with other applicants. (For reasons based on information in a credit report, the name of the consumer reporting agency is identified.)
Your consumer credit bureau score from Trans Union is too low (See below)
Amount of credit available on accounts (Trans Union)

Your consumer credit bureau score mentioned above was determined using a scoring system that evaluated the information in your file at the consumer reporting agency named above. The following are the primary factors in your credit report that affected your credit bureau score:
Length of time accounts have been established.
Proportion of revolving balances to revolving credit limits is too high.
Too many inquiries last 12 months.
Time since most recent account opening is too short.

Any idea??
I thought my credit was pretty good and thought I would get approved for Amex blue without any problem.. But I don’t even want an Amex anymore. Can anyone give me suggestions on how I can improve my credit (not just the score, the whole history) and be approved for a good CC later on???
A: 1. Don’t apply for credit for at least 1-2 years.
2. Wait until your income improves. While you say you are paying off the cards each month, you are throwing $6K a month on to them and you make less than $6K.
3. Stop charging so much.
BTW, $15K of credit available is 25% of your income. That’s high. No one else is going to give you more credit.
Q: i am buying a home and need a loan that will not show on the credit buerau as a loan. need to pay a sm bill?
ok here is th deal…i am in the process of buying a home..but if you have ever bought a home before you cannot have a certian amt of debt when u apply. (the banks think your a high risk) but i have one high bill that i need to pay NOW! the money that i need i could take off my cc, but it cannot show that it was taken from the credit card. WHERE can i get a loan that will not show on the credit buerau, but give me the cash i want and ill repay them after i close on my home. (i have a account that will be released to me on sept 1st 06, with the 6000 dollars coming back to me but i CANNOT touch this acnt untill the 1st of sept…but i need the money now to buy my dream home!!! its making me and my family a wreck! anone out there with real answers??? (please no sarcastic responses, im really stressed out to the max.) need money within 7business days…willing to pay somone interest if they front me the money!! help!—again this borrowing of money CANNOT Show on the credit buerau!!! help!
A: You need a private lender. Explain your situation to them and hopefully one will be willing to take on the risk. It will help a lot if you have a steady long term job. Private Lenders charge more interest than banks and some of them do show up on credit search – make sure yours doesn’t. In Canada they advertise in major newspapers under the category, “Money to Lend.” We got our house this way and it worked great. Good luck with the dream home!
Q: help me too raise my credit score?
ok! here i go, first step is to admit a problem. my credit score is 529, yes 529, i know that is poor which causes me too be a high risk. i am in the process of doing all i can do, to include educating myself on getting out of debt and raising my credit score. i have no credit cards currently. i have paid off all but one collections, i have current car payments, and student loans which is in good standing. it is the past ten negatives, that hurting me. what can i do now to impact my score. im 24 years old, but i feel very scared, and intimidated about my future, being that i “screwed” up in my teenage years. HELP ME PLEASE. i have a goal of being an entrepreneur by the time im thirty, it will never happen with a 529 credit score. PLEASE HELP, I ACCEPT ALL ADVICE!!!
thanks, and grace & peace
ps: if or should i apply for a credit card to help raise my score????

Now anyone who can tell me why I was denied? It clearly states it but I want to know MORE about it. And Im going to send a copy of it to experian so I can get a report from them. I know my credit is good. No bad marks whatsoever. I’m blaming it on the credit crisis! =D lol oh well. I’ll live.
A: Even if your credit record is spotless, they won’t take you on if they don’t think you make enough money to handle more debt.
Your credit limits and the amount you already owe on them are the biggies there. Ask yourself this: if you were to use all your available credit, could you comfortably make the minimum payment on that every month without digging a deeper hole? What if your bank bumped the minimum payment up to 5% of the balance? If not, it’s time to hide the cards and go on a money diet.
Q: How long to improve my credit?
I currently have a poor credit score of around 540 I believe. I have a delinquent student loan account of $2k, a car loan(on time each month), a in-store credit card($150 limit), and I paid off a delinquent $1200 credit card about 6 months ago in 3 months. I obviously did not learn my lesson and need to get my act together and repair my credit score.
I am going to pay the Student Loan off in approximately 3-4 months and my other small debts($500) in the next month or two. After this I will only have the in-store credit account and the car loan on my report after the others are removed.
How long will it take for the previous $1200 Credit card to be removed?
How long after I pay off the $2k loan will it not affect my score anymore?
How long will it take my score to go from high risk to low to medium risk? Is there any other steps I need to take to speed up the process?
Thanks. -hchase801
A: Theres really no nice way to say this, but you messed up bigtime.
Paying off the student loan will help (I’m hoping it is just delinquent and NOT sent to collection?)
The previous card will take 7yrs from date of last activity to get off your card. What you *COULD* try is see if the CC company can leave the card open (odds are they wont).
Anyways, steps to speed the process up:
You COULD dispute the “late payments” with the 3 credit bureaus. SOmetimes (once they’re paid) the banks are nice and remove the marks).
Dispute the bad accounts (again, sometimes they get deleted).
Pay EVERYTHING ON TIME. It doesnt matter if it is the minimum payment or the whole balance. As long as the minimum payment is made ON TIME.
One thing you can try is get a secured card (limit will be what you pay, and make sure it is from a real bank so it reports to the credit bureaus). Last thing is keep your STATEMENT balance to below 30% of your total limits. Seeing as how your limit is only $150, that means keep it below $45 on the statement (so if you use $150 in a month, make sure you pay $105 BEFORE the statement date).
Hope that helps
Q: Need a solution for online payment processing?
We are a new merchant planning on launching an online auction website. Our business falls into higher risk category because it is an online auction plus it involves reserve deposit, capture deposit, and then transfer of deposit. My boss wants me to come up with a solution for the payment process by the end of the week. Our business model violates the rules of various third party processors such as Amazon FPS, Braintree, etc. Authorize.net has APIs to support our business model but I am yet to receive a reply from them. Paypal and GoogleCheckout are off the list because of bad reviews.
The problem is I am not 100% clear on issues such as PCI compliance, how to store the credit card information, etc (I just recently learned about merchant accounts and gateways). What would be a good place to start? How should I go about with my research? Any suggestion would be very helpful(By the way, although my boss is from US I am from Asia so it is not possible for me to make phone calls to various providers. I am trying to communicate with them through emails)
A: If you are to be dealing with lots of international transactions as well as large sums of money, I would recommend you checking out Global Collect and talking with one of their agents to see if they offer the services you will be needing.
Q: Should this be two paragraphs or one?
Should this be two paragraphs?
Young adults make financial mistakes that take them years to recover from. For many it begins during or right after high school as credit becomes available. According to studies by the educational organization, JumpStart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy, almost one third of high school seniors report having a credit card of their own. And according to surveys conducted by Robert Manning, author of “Credit Card Nation: The Consequences of America’s Addiction to Credit,” the number of incoming college freshmen with credit cards tripled between 1999 and 2002. This credit card debt is at an average balance of $1,585 reports student-loan lender Nellie Mae. (http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/SavingandDebt/ManageDebt/HowTeensGetSuckedIntoCreditCardDebt.aspx?page=1) As many enter their 20’s with credit card debt, so do they often carry substantial student loan debt. Federal pell grants, often assumed to be of great financial assistance to college students, have not kept up with the rising cost of tuition, and students are turning more often to loans to obtain their higher education. According to Jim Saxton, chairman of the Joint Economic Committee Study, college tuition has not only doubled over the past 15 years, but “many education analysts believe that past legislation has not made college more affordable, it has simply made it easier to take out loans.” // On average, college graduates owe $47,503 from student loans. These student loans take years to pay off, and in the process cost individuals thousands of dollars in interest. According to Mindy Fetterman of USA Today, “This generation of twenty somethings is straining under the weight of college loans and other debt, a crushing load that separates it from every previous generation.” It seems that today’s ‘generation gap’ is more about debt than it is the ‘sex, drugs and rock-n-roll’ of previous generations and their parents. The reality for young adults is that they are at greater risk than previous generations to begin adulthood with debt.
I’ve already made it 2 different paragraphs THANKS
A: 2, because you have one topic but two details
Q: What’s the best way for a 32 year old guy like me to meet a nice woman? I’m tired of the bar scene. Advice?
A little background: I just earned my 2nd undergrad degree after years of going to school pursuing “a dream” that I thought I wanted, traveling/studying/working abroad, and finally finding a direction that I feel that is more of a fit. Going back to undergrad when I was around 27 years old, I was already a lot older than my classmates. At first I was worried I wouldn’t make that many friends, but it became a blessing in the long run because I’ve made some good friends and they didn’t care that I was several years older. I’m also very athletic, funny, and morally respectful to everyone. Not to sound vain, but I’m a decent looking guy who looks a lot younger than I am. While in school I’ve had chances to date younger women but I didn’t feel comfortable with it so I never pursued anything. So now I feel that I’m in a strange position in life. Now that I’m out of school AGAIN, I feel like I’m older than most of the regular college grads and so I can’t relate to them, especially some friends who still like to party. At the same time I don’t feel that I relate to others my age who are already into their careers, are married, have children, etc. So I feel like I’m in a strange position in life, sort of like in a social limbo. Add to this, I have financial debt from school loans. Going to school for as long as I have, I’ve accrued a good amount to where I’m ashamed of it, even though my brother has told me that I shouldn’t be ashamed because it’s school debt, at least, and not like credit card foolishness. But I feel like added to my age, and the fact that I am just starting a career in my field (fortunately I’m in the process of finding a job with this economic crisis so to speak), that having school loan debt will keep me from meeting a loving, quality woman who will want to be with me. I feel like if I found my direction earlier in life that I wouldn’t have a problem now. I sincerely feel (and maybe I’m skewed in my reasoning) that women my age or close are looking for a guy who can take care of them financially — whether they admit or not. I would do anything to take care of my future wife and family, but I feel like I’m being held back because of these things. I don’t know what to do, and I’m at the point in life where I’m struggling to be positive and to simply do the best that I can in life, and to not worry. I suppose there’s no point in complaining. I feel like it’s difficult for me to find a woman that is my age and fits the criteria that I need (beautiful, wonderful smile, positive attitude, takes care of her body, is physically active, has a good job, and is always wanting to learn in life, just like me). Seems like the old adage that “all the good ones are taken” seems true. Am I deceiving myself into thinking that all the quality women now are being snatched and taken “off the shelves” by guys who have started earlier than me and are getting the attention of all the smart, beautiful ladies. I know there are some women who could be in the same position as me: pursuing their direction in life even if it means a lot of risk and not meeting someone right away. I know there are women like this out there but I haven’t found them. I don’t want to sound shallow in any way because I have my own faults, but I’ve been told I have high standards in looking for a woman, which everyone should have. I mean, if I didn’t have certain criteria in a wife, then they should just be “friends.” It’s that special woman that is going to capture my heart. I want to embrace her and love her and to feel love. I want to be able to share my dreams with her. I guess in the position in life now, I’m a lot lonelier than I thought. In the meantime, I’ve been making myself a better person — a better “candidate” for this type of lady — so to speak. I’ve been reading more books for leisure, taking up new activities, learning how to dance, lifting weights, running, yoga, keeping up to date in my field of study (graphic design and photography), eating better, cooking and trying to learn a new recipe each week, trying to sleep better, improving personal habits, learning how to be financially responsible, and drinking lots of water. There’s so much in life that I want to do. While I was “finding a direction” I’ve had to opportunity to travel and see the world. At least this is something I can talk about and relate with to a girl. To try to sum this (too) long of a story “short,” I feel alone here. I don’t have anybody to talk to and I don’t want to turn into one of those freaks who become hermits and gain a beer belly. I’m probably the most open minded guy you’ll meet. Being of an “ethnic” background, I know how it feels to be on the “outside,” so I believe this is what helps me to be more sensitive to others. To those who took the patience to thoroughly read and even relate to me, thank you. I’m not sure what kind of advice I’m asking for — maybe I’m just venting. Maybe I need to find a friend who is in the same awkward position in life
A: There are PLENTY of people in your situation…and you aren’t “too late” to meet a woman. I am 29 years old, half of my friends are single, and the other half are in relationships (most with boyfriends/girlfriends….a few who are married….and VERY few of my friends have children). Everyone works at their own pace.
Yes, it’s extremely difficult to meet the “right” person (especially at a bar….I actually don’t drink, so I don’t even GO to bars!). Online dating is always an option. Another option is to meet people doing what you enjoy doing. Personally, I like to do community theater (I love to act and sing)…I meet so many people doing that! My problem is that most of them are gay! haha! BUT, there are plenty of straight men to meet as well. I met one guy because he was the cousin of a girl who was in a show with me. I met another guy because he was in a Cancer Benefit concert with me.
Not all women are looking for money. BUT, most women are looking for a man who is financially stable. You don’t have to be rich, but no woman wants to come into a relationship and have to deal with your debt (whether it be school debt or credit card debt or whatever). I am a strong and independent woman, but I don’t want to have to be financially responsible for my boyfriend because he is in debt. You know what I mean? You might want to get out of debt before you jump into dating or a relationship. Once you have your s**t together, you will meet someone who sees you as a wonderful guy with a great head on his shoulders!
Don’t stress…you don’t have to be in a relationship at 32 to be happy. You have plenty of time. The more time you take, the happier you’ll be in the long run. Never rush things and never “settle.” You sound like you’re on your way to a great future, so take your time, enjoy life, and everything will fall into place soon!
EDIT: Ok…read the response from the guy below me. Keep in mind he is 15 years old. The things he is telling you to do may work at 15, but not at 32. There are more important things in life as you get older. Do NOT listen to this kid’s advice….a 15 year old “ladies man” will no longer be a “ladies man” at 32. It takes more than a smile and waiting to make a phone call to land a lady!
Q: My pregnant girlfriend left me for her friends support.?
Me and my girlfriend have had our ups and downs since the past 11 months that we’ve been together. Recently I found out she was pregnant so I rushed into getting her all the help that she needs. Until the beginning to present (of those 11 months being together) I’ve payed way for both of to live and have continued up until now. I’ve resented her for this off and on because she shows no initiative to contribute even though she has a job. She has conned me out of lots of money that including her car, credit card bills, the necessities of living, and much more… It wasn’t expected to for her to have a kid, she wasn’t able to get pregnant according to her doctor six years ago… She was lucky enough to get pregnant this time after countless months of sexual intercourse.. Resting that aside, her hormones have been off the chart lately. I’ve being making trips back and forth, making sure shes fed, feeling better, and anything and everything to support her though her first trimester. Last week the ob/ gyn had determined that she was 6 ½ weeks and ongoing 7 ½ now. It doesn’t seem no matter how much I help her she blames me for everything that’s happening to her and that I haven’t given her emotional support that her “girlfriends” that have kids would give her. So she broke the news today saying she was going to leave to yuma which is about 3 hours away from were we live to stay with her friend. I don’t know what to do.. One part of me says to let her do her thing and then shell come around and another part of me says shes gone for good and that it could only get worse from here. Either way I’m very frustrated with her because I’ve being playing role as being her father for the past year by putting a roof over her head, feeding her, giving her gas money, paying her car fines, paying her car insurance, pretty much any finicial nescessity that she needs. She claims I have no emotional support for her and the kid and uses her pregnacy as a reason to all her problems… Yesterday I spent the entire day up until 2am running around town to get what she wants to eat. She miserably pukes it all out without hesitation and feels even more hungry afterwards. I even make it a point to get her ice water and rub her back each time that she pukes. And every time that she does shes hungry a minute later. To cut a long story short towards the end of 2am, ten minutes after she ate and puked she wanted something else to eat. So I went to the fridge and starting naming out what we had. We have gone though this process a million times and once again no to everything. By then I became frustrated and raised my voice saying “Well what do you want!?” She got very upset and starting mouthing me off…. I already ran around town all day and she was expecting me to go out after 10 minutes of eating AGAIN!…. It doesn’t matter what her situation is she hasn’t lifted a figner since she found out she was pregnant. She cant even get up and get her own water… She weighs 200 pounds and I feel shes a high risk pregnancy because she isnt active enough. Today she broke the news saying she was going to her friends and will be by to pick up some of her clothes and stuff around 4pm. I have a feeling shes going to be gone longer…. I don’t know what to expect from here…. I can only expect it to get worse. Shes claiming her friends are theres to help her. But I’ve been there to help her 95% of the time. I feel so used and scared I wont be able to see my own kids birth!
A: So this is from a person that is 13 weeks and 4 days pregnant so i can understand. i know every pregnnacy is different. but honestly your girlfriend is taking full advantage of you!!!!! i understand she is sick and that is understandable but you shouldn’t have to keep feeding her something she’s just going to throw up anyway she needs to eat crackers or something light. her hormones are acting out of control but even I have a little bit of control to know when i’m being a b****. as far as her weight if she is high risk then her doctors should be discussing that with her and if she doesnt’t try something then she’s just being lazy and neglectful to your child. Usually the hormones and the puking should stop about 10 to 12 weeks, if i were you i would let her do her thing and maybe that will even give you a chance to do yours. if she doesn’t come back or at least talk to you about then she doesn’t deserve you anyway! all you can do is be there for that child! if it comes down to it drive down where she is so can be there for the birth she can’t not let you be there! and if i were you i would think about fighting for custody if it came down to it! she’s taken so much away from you already don’t let her take you baby too! she might just realize that her friend most likely won’t wait hand and foot on her and might want to come back, but if she does don’t treat her like her legs are broken, what happens when the kid is born she won’t do anything then either! anyways!! i hope i helped somewhat and hopefully it feels better that this is coming from a person that is the same situation she is.
good luck to you!
Q: Why do Conservatives insist that Obama has done nothing positive?

-Extended and indexed the 2007 Alternative Minimum Tax patch
-Closed the “doughnut hole” in Medicare prescription drug plan

-Required health plans to disclose how much of the premium goes to patient care

-Eliminated the higher subsidies to Medicare Advantage plans
-Expanded funding to train primary care providers and public health practitioners
-Increased funding to expand community based prevention programs
-Signed the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
-Increased the Veterans Administration budget to recruit and retain more mental health professionals
-Fully funded the Veterans Administration
-Assured that the Veterans Administration budget is prepared as ‘must-pass’ legislation
-Expanded the Veterans Administration’s number of “centers of excellence” in specialty care
-Appointed a special adviser to the president on violence against women
-Fully funded the Violence Against Women Act
-Directed military leaders to end war in Iraq
-No permanent bases in Iraq
-Sent two additional brigades to Afghanistan
-Strengthened and expanded military exchange programs with other countries
-Made greater investment in advanced military air technology

-Gave a speech at a major Islamic forum in the first 100 days of his administration
-Allocated Homeland Security funding according to risk
-Created a real National Infrastructure Protection Plan
-Increased funding for local emergency planning
-Stood down nuclear forces to be reduced under the Moscow Treaty
-Appointed a White House Coordinator for Nuclear Security
And that’s just a third of it. A third. If you say these are all negatives, make sure you read them first, as there are things in there to help veterans, so if you say they are all crap, you clearly hate the veterans.

A: Because they can not. In order to do so, they would have to give up the hatred that drives so many. And with the others, that is because they consider news sources such as FAUX to be fair and balanced!
